Host Orissa beat Assam by 51 runs to post their third straight win and lead the table with 12 points in the Vijay Hazare Trophy East Zone One-day Cricket Tournament at Cuttack today. Among the leading contributors for the Orissa win, Rakesh Mohanty stood out with a half-century and three wickets, Paresh Patel top scored with 78 and Biplab Samantaray claimed three wickets. In another match of the day, Jharkhand prevailed over Tripura by two wickets.
